I was just asked to join Greenwala: a green social network. Apparently, they plant a tree everytime someone registers, which is awesome. I, of course, joined right away. I would hope you all would do the same. It looks really interesting. They have their own blog that I've added to my blogroll.
I especially recommend the article, "Gardens for People Who Hate Gardening". I'm sorry, but I fall into that category. I realize it's not very "green" of me, but I could be green all over except for my thumb.
They also have a sister site, Treewala that features a eco quiz. So, if you're interested to see how your eco knowledge holds up, then you might want to check it out too.

I guess the word is starting to spread about Greenwala...a friend of a friend of a friend told me that your site gave Green Alert readers the heads up. Thanks a lot!I've been a Greenwala member for over six months now and think that it has really made the difference for me in terms of finally taking a proactive role in living a more eco-responsible lifestyle. What I really like is that each community member can blog on whatever green topics float their boat and all Greenwalas share their feedback. I don't think I've ever encountered the same topic twice and personally, I find the community far more stimulating than sitting in front of the tv or flipping through a magazine. It's great to be a part of something fulfilling and generate real solutions to the challenges that our environment faces. I am a huge fan of Greenwala -- please say hi when you log on the site!!
