Recycled City

Amid the bigger city projects, such as green roof tops and solar panel lights, there are a lot of smaller projects that are taking place within our cities as well.

Curbly had an interesting post on literal Dumpster Diving. The pools shown are actual old dumpsters placed in an abandoned strip mall. A great use of space if you ask me.

Macro Sea heads the projects such as this one. You should check out their site. It's actually pretty interesting. Here is the full article on this project at ReadyMade.

Global Inheritance runs a TRASHed Art of Recycling campaign which redesigns recycling bins like the one shown.

A similar artistic project was done in the city of Philadelphia with their recycling trucks. Personally, I think that's great. Read more about it here at Rive Magazine.

Hi! I love your blog. I have you on my reader and I've commented once before. Anyway just wanted to tell you at my local Target they are selling recycled chip bags and making them into school supplies.
If you email me you email I'll send you some pics. My cousin bought a folder and a pencil case. Pretty neat, and I thought you'd enjoy it as well.
